In Workshop "Enjoy making your own solar cells : by hands-on experiment", School students from 7 schools in and around Suva as well as general public joined to learn how a solar cell generates electricity and enjoyed making their own solar cells by hands-on experiment. The aim of this workshop was first to provide an opportunity to introduce  different types of solar cells developed by Japanese industries that are not only commercially available for the roof-top application, but also developed for specific use such as space satellites and solar racing cars. Participated schools are: DAV Girls College, Suva Sangam College, Gospel High School, SIla Central High School, Rishikul Sanatan College, St. Joseph's Secondary School, and Dilkusha High School.
